February Newsletter

February brought so much joy for us, and we are thrilled to share our news with you! We kicked off the month strongly with another engagement at the Newton Community Freedge, where we dropped off some delicious cookies. Then, on February 10th, we had the pleasure of hosting about 25 people from Families First, where families could decorate Valentine's Day cookies together. Give A Cake Bakery was founded with the hope of spreading joy through baking and bringing people together. Being able to create an event where families could make memories together by baking was incredibly special. We want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who made the event possible, including Brighton Presentation School Community Center, Families First, Tiffany Benson, and our awesome volunteers Jane and Mimi.

On February 15th, we joined Hank Phillippi Ryan, Newtonville Books, Jean Stehle, and many members of the Newton community to celebrate Hank’s new thriller, ONE WRONG WORD. We brought along some delicious sugar cookies, and, along with learning all about Hank’s story, we got to share our own and meet so many new supporters. At the event, we had the pleasure of meeting Martina Jackson, a journalist for the Fig City News, and even had the opportunity to speak with her again as she wrote an article about Give A Cake to help us share our story.

We had a fantastic February, and we're looking forward to another great month in March. Stay tuned for more information, and be sure to follow our Instagram and Facebook @giveacakebakery for updates!
