Hello again! August brought us so much joy and we couldn’t be happier with how we wrapped up the summer. In August, we were thrilled to deepen our impact on underserved communities through our new partnership with Hospitality Homes, where we provided baked goods to their clients. Hospitality Homes works with families to provide a home away from home while clients receive essential medical care in Boston. We had the joy of meeting Tenleigh, one tough cookie who, despite being diagnosed with Thoracic Insufficiency Syndrome, has the brightest smile and best attitude. We absolutely loved bringing her some special cookies to cheer her up and celebrate her 32nd surgery. It's truly rewarding to share a little comfort through our treats with individuals and families facing challenging times, and we’re grateful for the chance to make a positive difference.
We also continued our ongoing support of the Newton Community Freedge, baking 73 treats this month. The Freedge, an initiative of the Newton Food Pantry, allows neighbors to share food and essentials freely. Each drop-off is not just about delivering cookies or bread—it’s an opportunity to engage with our community, share our story, and see the direct impact of our work, one baked good at a time.
Excitingly, we are continuing our program in Boston, working alongside high school students to teach business skills and collaborate on growing our social media presence. Their creativity and fresh perspectives have been invaluable, and we’re excited about the potential of this partnership to amplify our mission.
We’re also delighted to welcome new volunteers into our community. Their passion and commitment are what keep our organization vibrant and growing, and we couldn’t be more grateful for their involvement.
Thank you for being part of our journey! Visit our updated website to explore how you can continue to support us as we work together to make a positive impact, one baked good at a time.
