Give a Cake Bakery is a nonprofit volunteer network that brings people together

through baking to strengthen communities and support nonprofit partners.

This Month: The Next Chapter

The Momentum Behind Give a Cake Bakery's Biggest Year Yet

Growth doesn't always happen all at once.

Sometimes it shows up in new volunteers. Sometimes it's a new community partnership.

Sometimes it's a fresh recipe that quickly becomes a favorite.

As we reach the halfway point of 2026, we're seeing all of those things come together, reminding us that Give a Cake Bakery's next chapter is already underway.

Fresh Recipes, Fresh Energy

Summer has arrived, and with it comes three new additions to our baking lineup:

Glazed Lemon Loaf

Blueberry Bread

Blueberry Cake

These bright, seasonal recipes are already making their way to the community

organizations and families we're honored to support. They also give our volunteer bakers even more ways to share kindness through something made by hand.

Sometimes growth looks like introducing something new. Sometimes it begins with a simple recipe.

By the Numbers: A Community in Motion

One of the best ways to understand our growth is to look at what our volunteers are accomplishing together.

At the halfway point of 2026, we're already approaching the impact we achieved during all of last year, putting us on pace for our strongest year yet.

Behind every number is someone who chose to volunteer, a nonprofit partner opening its doors, and a family or community member receiving a homemade bake.

None of this would be possible without our volunteer bakers, generous donors, and nonprofit partners. Together, they're helping us write the next chapter of Give a Cake Bakery.

What's Baking Across Our Network

Every volunteer has a favorite recipe, and some have clearly risen to the top this year.

Most popular recipes of 2026 (so far):

🥇 Chocolate Chip Cookies

🥈 Oatmeal Cookies

🥉 Brownies

⭐ Winter Wonderland Cookies

🍋 Glazed Lemon Loaf

It's always fun to watch new recipes earn a place alongside longtime favorites, reflecting both the creativity and enthusiasm of our volunteer community.

Celebrating a New Chapter

Growth isn't measured only in numbers. It's also reflected in the people who make this work possible.

This spring marked an exciting milestone for Give a Cake Bakery founder Julia Conroy, who graduated from high school and will attend Vanderbilt University this fall as an Ingram Scholar, an honor recognizing her leadership and commitment to service.

To celebrate this next chapter, volunteers, community leaders, supporters, and partners gathered in Newton, Massachusetts, for our Next Chapter Launch. Together, we baked homemade cookies for @Women's Lunch Place, reinforcing the simple idea that has guided Give a Cake Bakery from the beginning: baking brings people together, and every bake has the power to brighten someone's day.

We were honored to welcome Mayor Marc Laredo, who rolled up his sleeves alongside our volunteers as we celebrated both Julia's achievement and the continued growth of Give a Cake Bakery.

Looking Ahead

The first half of 2026 has reinforced something we've believed from the beginning.

When people come together around a shared purpose, small acts of generosity can grow into something much bigger.

As our network continues to expand, we're excited to welcome new volunteers, strengthen community partnerships, and continue creating opportunities for people to connect, serve, and make a difference through baking.

The next chapter isn't something waiting for us in the future. It's already being written, one volunteer, one partnership, and one bake at a time.

Thank you for being part of the journey. Join us at giveacakebakery.org.
