Workshops

A group of teens gather around a table baking cookies together during a Give A Cake Bakery Teenage workshop.

Inspire Others

Turn your passion for baking into a way to guide the next generation.

Show teens how baking can spark kindness, teamwork, and community impact. Lead hands-on workshops where participants learn to bake, share, and explore social entrepreneurship.

What Our Workshops Do

Smiling teen volunteers proudly hold their Give A Cake Bakery and Somerville Parks and Recreation volunteer certificates after completing the program.

Giving a workshop is where your own impact begins—and where it grows. As a presenter, you’ll guide teens through experiences that spark confidence, connection, and purpose.

Who will attend the workshops?

Workshops are offered through schools, recreation centers, and community programs for grades 7–12. Perfect for young people eager to give back but unsure where to start—we provide the first step and the spark to keep going.

Every session blends teaching with action, and you’ll see firsthand how small lessons can ripple outward into big change.

When you lead a workshop, you can expect to:

  • Deliver a 30-minute interactive lesson on business and nonprofit concepts, tailored to the age group.

  • Lead a hands-on baking class that directly benefits a local charitable partner.

  • Create opportunities for collaboration and discussion that help teens connect ideas to real-world giving.

“During the workshop, I really enjoyed meeting all the kids and helping them decorate their cookies. It was fun, but also meaningful. It seemed like the kids were happy and always smiling, and I loved being part of that experience.”

“Seeing the joy that a simple cookie or muffin can bring someone is really amazing.”
