Recently, we had the chance to gather with bakers, volunteers, supporters, partners, and friends to celebrate an exciting milestone for Give a Cake Bakery. It was a special day, not because of any one achievement, but because it gave us the chance to look around and see just how many people have been part of this journey.
When I started Give a Cake Bakery at age 13, I never imagined how many people would say yes to the idea. I definitely didn't think I'd be scheduling volunteer onboarding calls with people from across the country! What began as a simple way to share homemade baked goods with people in need has grown into a community of people who believe in kindness, generosity, and showing up for others. Every baker, volunteer, donor, partner, and supporter has helped make that possible.
This milestone feels especially meaningful because I'm also preparing for a new chapter in my own life. As I get ready to head to college, I've been reflecting on how much Give a Cake Bakery has grown. Looking back reminds me that none of this happened because of one person. It happened because so many people believed in this mission and chose to be part of it.
What excites me most is that we're still just getting started. There are so many opportunities ahead to grow our network, reach more communities, and inspire even more people to use their talents to make a difference. I can't wait to see what we'll accomplish together.
Thank you to everyone who has supported Give a Cake Bakery along the way. Whether you baked a cake, volunteered your time, made a donation, partnered with us, or simply encouraged our mission, you've helped build something that is making a real impact. I'm incredibly grateful for how far we've come, and even more excited about where we're headed next.
With gratitude,
Julia Conroy, Founder
